Product Description Description

*This Polaris 280 Universal Wall Fitting Kit is installed into the dedicated pool sweep line which is located inside of the swimming pool wall. The UWF is 1.5 inches in diameter. This kit includes both restrictor disks; blue and red. The part is highlighted in orange on the diagram above. If you have questions about replacement parts for your Polaris 280 feel free to call Pool Supply Sales at (888)680-POOL Monday through Friday 9:00AM-4:30PM PST. We can answer any question you have regarding your Polaris Pool Cleaner. Pool Supply Sales stocks a full line of manufacturer’s replacement parts for the Polaris 280 pressure side pool cleaner.

Maintenance tip:
The Polaris UWF serves as a receiver for the quick disconnect. If you find that your Polaris 280 will not stay connected in the wall then this part is most likely damaged. There are two notches inside of the Universal Wall Fitting.  Inspect the Polaris UWF to ensure that one of the notches are not broken.

When should you replace the Universal Wall Fitting?
You should replace the Polaris UWF when you have confirmed that one of the two notches are broken and this is the cause of your Polaris 280 Cleaner not staying connected into the wall.

*This Polaris Universal Wall Fitting is compatible with the following Polaris Pool Cleaners: 180, 280, 360, 380, 480 and 3900

Questions and Answers

Q: What is the purpose of the blue and red restrictor disks?

Posted On: 12/23/12

A: Great question! The restrictor disks are designed to lessen the amount of water pressure your Polaris Pool Cleaner receives. The blue disk has a slightly larger opening than the red disk.

According to the Polaris 280 owner's manual your Polaris Cleaner should operate between 28 and 32 RPM. If the count is less than 28 RPM then remove the blue restrictor disk from the Universal Wall Fitting. If the count is more than 32 RPM then replace the blue restrictor disk in the UWF with the red restrictor. If the flow is still too high, unscrew the pressure relief valve until the proper RPM is reached. Note: The pressure relief valve should only be adjusted when a restrictor is installed.
